Sup Axis Mako downwind float designed by Francesco Maffei (Frank Foilboards) in Maui.

The MAKO is the result of extensive testing on countless Maliko races and numerous design iterations and improvements. The goal was to create the most user-friendly and high-performance Downwind SUP available on the market.

There are a few key details that set these boards apart from those available on the market.

A revolutionary rocker line designed for:

-increase the speed of the board

-release it effortlessly from the water surface for extremely smooth takeoffs.

The combination of the rocker line and the rail design makes this board extremely stable.

This helps reduce the width of the board, which is essential for increasing travel speed.

The objective of the hull design is:

- to increase acceleration for takeoffs

-to maintain tolerance during high speed landings.

This ability to increase the speed of the board also improves stability as the board travels at higher speeds by engaging the foil which will help you balance the board.

The additional visible rocker at the back of the board ensures that the tail does not catch on the water surface when you move at the foil. It also prevents the board from following a straight line too aggressively, causing a loss of balance.

Our flat deck allows for comfort and a direct feel while providing a wide area to move the feet to accommodate the rider's position preferences.

The volume concentrated in the middle of the board gives you an extremely balanced feeling when paddling. At the same time, the low volume on the nose and tail reduces weight, making these downwind boards much shorter than they are.

A full carbon construction with a high density foam sandwich is essential for overall rigidity.

Every bit of energy injected into the board will be transferred to the foil, resulting in maximum efficiency and performance.

Mako boards come with a custom-fit Axis board cover for ultimate protection and utility featuring:

A double zipper system allowing access from each side and features, integrated ventilation, storage pockets, carrying handles.
